    Philip has over 29 year’s industry experience in development, working with international organisations. A speaker at numerous conferences Games:EDU Develop Conference. Recently Philip gave workshops to hundreds of games
    development enthusiast on 8-Bit Games Development @ 8-Bit Conference. As a member of the European Conference on Games Based Learning committee he also founded the national computer games console programming festival, Games Fleadh. Recipient of Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award in 2008 to 2015. He is a graduate of Computer Science at Trinity College and holds a Masters in Software Engineering from Maynooth University. Current Research interests include biometric human computer interaction with digital games and he is currently pursuing a PhD at University College Cork.

    Presentation Title: Virtual Reality an Application or an Experience?

    Synopsis:
    This presentation is a walk-through of the design principals to create
    immersive virtual reality experiences and deployment of non-proprietary VR
    engine targeted at Android. Presentation will include a live build and
    deployment to the Android platform and will showcase essential designer
    scorecards, developer patterns and user experiences.
