Paul is an Institute of Banking Certified Data Protection Officer with over 30 years experience with a wide range of industry sectors, including financial services, B2B environments and retail. He has spent most of his commercial life between the UK and Ireland, has managed business operations across Europe and North America for a division of a FTSE 100 Plc, and held various directorship, investment and advisory roles.

While much coverage is given to the promotion of the importance of taking action regarding data protection and the affects of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) that comes into effect on March 25th, the advice is often tainted with over-complication. It has a sense of being the ‘current big thing’ for consulting and software firms to promote. It does not need to be like that.
